If you are reading this because you are planning to marry, 'congratulations'. Many people are choosing marriage celebrant weddings nowadays because they want the freedom to make their own choices regarding their special day. Australia is one of only a few countrys that allow this choice and we are incredibly fortunate. Apart from a few legalities your marrriage ceremony is entirely up to you. If you decide to book me as your celebrant I will give you a package including, ideas for ceremonies, examples of readings and poems and the legal requirements for your marriage. From that point I will be there on the phone, in person or via e-mail and together we create your unique ceremony. On the big day I will arrive at least a half hour before the ceremony time ( I usually get there 1 hour before) to make sure I meet everyone I need to, arrange cues for music etc and ensure the venue is ready.
I'm still in the process of building this site. Cheers, Laena.
A 'Notice of Intent to Marry' form (NOIM)...
...must be given to your celebrant at least 1 calendar month before the marriage. I have copies of and usually fill out the NOIM at the first interview. I also must see the birth certificates of both parties and if you've been previously married, a divorce or death certificate.
